I'm going to say you got the latest firmware. I have all my games as iso on ntfs external and have been working fine but all of sudden the games just vanished from the ps3 folder list.

I've tried installing several signed.pkg files, but some of them won't even be listed under the game category after installation. Plug the ntfs drive on the right usb port of the ps3.

If it was a game from the xmb aka psn install you need to rebuild database for it to show in your xmb. I have tried doing refresh and rescan of xml, but still nothing.
